There have been a lot of rumors lately about Apple’s upcoming foldable devices. It’s known that Apple is working on a flip-style foldable iPhone and an iPad/MacBook hybrid with an 18.8-inch screen when unfolded.
According to the latest report from analyst Jeff Pu, the iPad/MacBook hybrid will likely be the first to launch, expected in the second quarter of 2026. The foldable iPhone is set to follow at the end of 2026. It’s possible it will be announced alongside the iPhone 18 series, but the actual market release will be later in the year.

While the report doesn’t provide many additional details, it does offer a more precise timeline. Jeff Pu remains optimistic, stating that Apple is still on track, especially after securing a supply contract for the foldable iPhone’s panel.
However, a lot can change between now and 2026, so it’s best not to get too excited just yet.
